7/31 - Next up, Park Ave Fest!

Well folks, yesterday is in the books and it was quite a day.  We woke up at 5am and had the opportunity to perform live and be interviewed on the Harbor Town Belle by two of Rochester's major news outlets, News 10 NBC and Channel 13 WHAM.  We then capped off the night by headlining on a sold-out and incredible boat cruise along the Genesee into Lake Ontario.  I'm confident saying that the "ROC the Belle Concert Series" will easily become a staple event amongst the Rochester music scene, and rightfully so.  With that being said our sights are set ahead, as we have another HUGE event to look forward too coming up this Sunday, August 2nd.  NVDB will be hitting the stage at the Park Avenue Summer Art's Festival in downtown Rochester, NY!  We'll be sharing the stage with some of Rochester's finest including; Acoustic Brew, K-Ride and MoChester.  See you there!

American Cancer Society Survivors Concert - Sept 3, 2015

Neil Van Dorn has some earworm choruses that I'm singing to myself as I write this. The band isn't distinctly a pop, folk, or rock act, but it seems totally comfortable with that. Neil Van Dorn's honest croons fill out with his supporting four-piece. Last July, the group released its 7-track debut EP, "Cellars and Attics" (2014).

Water Street Music Hall - Feb 20, 2015

"Opening up the night was some locally-grown entertainment with the Neil Van Dorn Band. These guys showed off their impressive musical chops with a mix of impressive original tunes, including a few songs from their in-progress sophomore album, and some beautifully grooved-up covers, highlighted by takes on the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Black Balloons” and Nelly’s “Ride Wit Me” (both songs I legitimately haven’t heard in 5+ years and still apparently know all of the words to). Guitarist Tommy Mac (proudly rocking a Megadeath shirt at a jam-band show) was a human highlight reel for most of the set, ripping off epic solo after epic solo and adding some serious edge to an otherwise laid-back set. Between Mac’s rock star skill, Van Dorn’s charisma and songwriting prowess, and the rest of the band’s ability to play just about any style and play it well, these guys are full of reasons to check them out and keep an eye on them as they continue to develop their sound and make new music."
